My friend's mother was visiting here from Pretoria, South Africa. While they were talking about an upcoming wedding in South Africa, her mum mentioned that it was Around the World theme and she was going to find something depicting New Zealand while here.
After all, where better to find something New Zealand than right here.
Ilze immediately thought of me and my laser. Could I design something for her mum? Of course I could.
Naturally, my humour took me to the other side of the spectrum and my first design was not accepted.

What's wrong with that? Ilze's husband loved it, Ilze thought it funny, but her mum was a bit concerned on how it would go down in Pretoria, at a wedding with strong rugby supporters present.
She asked if I could please design something else. Very polite these South Africans. :-)
Hence the Kiwi. It doesn't need introduction. It is New Zealand.
